well, how things actually begin of course
pop up as thoughts in our heads
we talk a bit, back forth, and things start to take shape
a little wire, a little tape
and every now and then,the help of some crumpled up paper
all takes place before the glue and colors are added

Jeff & Dale Ocasio collaborate on building characters and small worlds that live somewhere between folk art and storybooks. Sculpting with masking tape over wire and reclaimed objects is where their artwork begins.
Each sculpture is encased with layers of acid‐free glue, color is added with more layers of acrylics, mixed media and protected with matte varnish. Many of their sculptures are featured in their own original digital illustrations.
