hanging around in the paint room right now are a couple of wall folks
these are folk sculptures that hang on the wall
we have a white elephant and a sunny looking flower
that we are already thinking about names for
and a seafoam shorebird who will be holding his blue catch of the day in his
long citrus colored bill
Jeff & Dale Ocasio collaborate on building characters and small worlds that live somewhere between folk art and storybooks. Sculpting with masking tape over wire and reclaimed objects is where their artwork begins.
Each sculpture is encased with layers of acid‐free glue, color is added with more layers of acrylics, mixed media and protected with matte varnish. Many of their sculptures are featured in their own original digital illustrations.
