We are happy to announce that two of our pieces have been accepted into two different juried art shows recently.
Teeka, the Fish belongs to our FinFolk collection, and is going to be shown in the 32nd Annual Juried All Florida Exhibit at the Alliance for the Arts in Fort Myers, FL. The exhibition features pieces created by contemporary artists working in a wide variety of media from all over Florida and is a longtime local favorite. It’s opening reception is March 9th, from 5 to 7pm.
Our wall sculpture, The Positively Negative Day, incorporates familiar elements in our artwork: the skeleton and the flower ---a simple characterization of new forms of life springing forth from death. We are so proud that it is being included in the Dia de los Muertos : A Celebration of Life show at the Florida CraftArt Gallery in St Petersburg, FL. From their website – “Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey, the show is about celebration of the lives of those passed.” The show’s opening reception is on April 6th, from 5:30 – 8:30.
